Sugarbush Kennel Club is located in Geauga County, Ohio. Founded in 1963 by Chester and Sandra Juredine, the club held its first American Kennel Club B match in 1964. The first AKC all-breed championship show was held in 1966 at Candyland. In 2008 SBKC expanded its shows to back-to-back all-breed shows at the Metroparks Polo Field. In 1971 the tradition of holding an AKC Puppy Match on the 4th of July began and continues to this day. Meetings have been held in Claridon, Chardon, The Rookery, and now at the West Geauga Branch of the Library. Meetings are open to anyone interested in the sport of pure-bred dogs as demonstrated through American Kennel Club events. A variety of speakers present to the membership. Check the Upcoming Events section for more information. |
